A Dedicated Servant Bows Out Gracefully

After nearly thirty three years of  dedicated service to the cocoa industry,Mr. Joseph Darko Mperey proceeds on compulsory retirement on 11th July, 2020.

 

He started from a humble beginning, having been employed as a Mistblower Mechanic Grade One (1) on  the 1st of September, 1987  with the Cocoa Services

Division, (CSD) now Cocoa Health Extension Division (CHED) and stationed at Bunso.

 

Mr. Mperey worked hard with all seriousness and gained an educational sponsorship from CSD to pursue a three (3) year HND Programme in Automobile Engineering at the  Accra Polytechnic.

 

In 1995, he was promoted to the rank of a Workshop Supervisor and posted to the Head Office, Accra.

 

On the 1st of December, 2002, Mr. Mperey was promoted to the rank of a Transport Officer and further promoted to the position of a Senior Transport Officer on the 26th of June, 2007.

 

He pursued a Master's Programme in Transport Planning and Management at the Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom, after which he gained an upgrade to the position of a Principal Transport Officer on the 1st of July, 2011.

 

Mr. Mperey was transferred to the Cocoa Marketing Company (Gh) Ltd on the 13th of  June, 2012.

 

On the 1st of October, 2014, Mr.Mperey was promoted to the position of a Deputy Transport Manager and subsequently to the position a Transport Manager on 1st October, 2019, a position he held until his graceful exit, having served the cocoa industry for thirty two (32) years, ten (10) months and eleven (11) days.

 

We wish Mr. Joseph Mperey Darko an enjoyable retirement.
