CMC Ladies Celebrate International Women's Day

Ladies from the three Takeover Centres of Tema,Takoradi and Kumasi, in tandem with Accra,have joined the world in celebrating the 2023 International Women's Day.

The theme for this year's celebration, as released by the United Nations, is "DigitALL:Innovation and Technology For Gender Equality".

Speaking in Accra as part of the activities marking the day, the Managing Director of Cocoa Marketing Company, (Gh) Ltd. Mr. Vincent Okyere Akomeah noted that the powerful role of the woman cannot be underrated, because God made it so.

" You are blessed, you can't change your sex, you are powerful and God made you so".He opined that the economic,cultural,political and social achievements of women around the globe is so immense that, the Management of CMC will do everything possible to support any woman in CMC who will avail herself in her line of work to succeed.

He implored women in the Company to strive to attain excellence, adding that they are partners in the development of CMC and his administration will do everything possible to support them.

"You are our partners in development and we assure you that we will consciously assist you".

On his part, the Deputy Managing Director of CMC (Marketing) Mr. Frederick Amponsah Doku revealed that since women cannot be like men and vice versa, it is imperative for men to support their women counterparts and women to also support their men counterparts, promising to support women in their work.

"We promise to support you in all your good endeavours" he concluded.

The Human Resource Manager, Dorine Fanny Amartey said, though men appear to have taken the lead, women are encouraged to continue to excel and brighten the corner where they are.

She wished all women well and encouraged them to bask in the glory of the day. 

There were women representatives from the Cocoa Health and Extension Division.
